Where To Go Horseback Riding in Austin

Did you know that in addition to being fun, horseback riding lessons can also tone your muscles and improve your balance?

If you would like to try a different type of workout, visit one of these destinations near our Austin apartments where you're sure to enjoy an experience to remember:

Maverick Horseback Riding

Maverick is a small family-owned business where the horses are beginner-friendly and the instructors are highly skilled. The lessons focus on all-around horsemanship and proper riding techniques. They're offered year-round Thursday through Monday, and students learn to trot bareback, canter over uneven terrain, assess lameness, and so much more.

Maverick also offers exciting trail rides through parks in and around Austin. The guides share stories about the horses and the area, and the rides are the perfect way to enjoy a leisurely morning or afternoon.

Switch Willo Stables

Switch Willo is an English stable that welcomes everyone from beginners to advanced riders. The instructors have between five and 25 years of experience. They allow students to progress at their own pace and offer private, semi-private, and group sessions. Some of the students ride for fun while others use their lessons to compete in local horse shows. The classes cover everything from proper riding techniques to horse care.

Madrone Ranch Stables

Nestled among rolling acres, Madrone Ranch is one of the Texas Hill country's premier riding facilities. Its mission is to offer a mastery of riding, and students range from four-year-olds on ponies to beginning adults. Trainer Rachel Lindsey grew up here in Austin, where she started riding at the age of six. She became a professional at eighteen and has won numerous awards. She and the other trainers specialize in hunter jumpers and offer quality lessons throughout the year.

Horseback riding is just one of the many activities that you can enjoy as a resident of our East Austin apartments. To call our community home, please contact us. We would love for you to see our vibrant setting firsthand.
