Check Out Austin's Restaurants with the Best Wine Lists

Did you know that Austin is home to some of the country's best sommeliers?

They curate a selection of wine that ranges from common varietals to rare finds.

If you would like to enjoy a glass, head to one of these restaurants near our Austin apartments where you'll discover the best wine lists in town:

Olive & June

Olive & June has been a local favorite since 2012. It's named after the grandmothers of Chef Cirkiel and his wife and offers one of the most diverse Italian wine selections in the city. Chef Cirkiel focuses on handmade pasta and invites everyone to come and enjoy the cuisine and culture of southern Italy. A 200-year-old-oak tree shades the restaurant, and guests can spend their time inside or out. Enjoy the Belmonte Serese with the hearty risotto.

Emmer & Rye

Designed around the farmer's bounty, the menu at Emmer & Rye changes daily. The chefs mill the heirloom grains for the pasta and desserts and run an extensive in-house fermentation program that captures flavors at their peak. Emmer & Rye boasts a four-star rating on Yelp and features a modern, yet rustic setting. Guests can order off the main menu or the dim sum carts that continuously circulate. All of the dishes pair well with the Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, and Sauvignon Blanc.

Nestled downtown, Italic is an approachable Italian restaurant run by Chef Andrew Curren. He supports local farmers and makes everything from rustic pizzas to Florence T-bone steaks. Eater calls Italic "a must-try pasta destination," while Texas Monthly states that it "serves Austin well."  The wine list is 100 percent Italian, and the waitstaff can suggest the perfect pairings. Choices include Moscato, Prie Blanc, and Verdicchio.
